Edwards to license EndoEvolution Endo360° MIS suturing device
Edwards Lifesciences has entered into a collaboration agreement with EndoEvolution to license Endo360° minimally invasive surgery (MIS) suturing device.
Under the license, Edwards has rights to use Endo360° MIS suturing device for cardiac-related applications only.
The FDA-cleared Endo360° MIS device is an automated device which uses curved needles to place stitches and tie intracorporeal knots.
EndoEvolution president and CEO Jerry Brecher said, "We believe this partnership with Edwards demonstrates the important clinical potential of our next-generation, automated suturing device."
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
